Bridal Shower

Guess I should get these pics posted as Teresa and Ron's wedding was this last weekend! Mom, the twins and I went down to Reno a few weekends back to surprise Teresa at her bridal shower. She was REALLY surprised! So fun! Teresa's friends that hosted the shower did a really nice job.

Family Birthday Party

Trevin had a really good birthday. He kept asking me throughout the day, "When's my birfday?" Meaning when were we going to have cake and presents! We had a family dinner with cake and Mr. T had a great time.

Things I've Learned in the Last 9 Weeks

• Two infants go through A TON of diapers. (And they need to invent a bigger Diaper Genie because it fills up in less than a day!)
• Never, ever ever take a daily shower for granted. Sometimes I feel like the whole morning is spent trying to get both babies asleep at the same time and Trevin content so I can get in the shower! Shower = alone time = bliss!
• My husband can sleep through two screaming infants not even two feet from his head.
• The world doesn't end when people drop by and the house is a total mess.
• There is no such thing as "running to the store" when you have infant twins. It's quite the process getting us all ready (fed, changed, bag packed, Trevin potty, in car seats, changed again, in car seats again...you get the picture!)
• The flash of a baby's sweet smile makes up for hours of screaming
• It is possible to be spit up on, pooed on AND wet on...all in ONE night!
• Never, ever take sleep for granted. :-)

Happy Birthday, Trevin!

Our little man is three years old today. I can't believe it has been three years since that little snugglie bundle of baby made me a Mom. He has been so excited for his birthday to come for quite awhile now - it will be a fun day for him. Poor guy has had quite the adjustment the last couple months going from getting all of our attention to having to share with two little demanding babies! Hopefully it will get easier for him soon!

Things I Love About Our Three Year Old

-He's really getting into imaginative play. I love to eavesdrop when he's playing with his trucks or equipment and hear the scenario that's being played out. "Doug" is always the driver of his "x-vator" and when a truck is "broken" he has to take it to "Cubby's shop".

-He has sweet moments of being very appreciative. He will often tell us when we sit down at the table: "Thank you for making dinner." And he will tell me "Thank you for washing my sheets" for multiple nights after they've been washed.

-He knows how to give a compliment. I walked out of our room wearing something new and Trevin said, "Mama! You look SO cute!" He often says that about his baby brother and sister when they are wearing something he hasn't seen before. The other day we were looking at pics of his Auntie Teresa trying on her wedding dress and Trevin said, "Oooh, she looks SO pretty!"

-Sometimes after our night time story, I will lay with him for a bit. He always wants to hold my hand as he is drifting off to sleep. I remember times when he was about a year old that I would lay on the floor next to his crib as he was falling asleep and he would hold my hand through the crib. Sweet boy!

-He loves his baby brother and sister very much. It is so sweet to hear him talking to them - usually saying things that he's heard us say. "It's okay 'Lenna, settle down" or "Good job Orrin, you poo-pooed, I'm SO proud of you!" (Trevin has issues in that department and we get REALLY excited when he is successful!) He loves to give gentle kisses and hugs. Trevin likes to choose who sits next to him in the car. Whom he chooses is usually due to the other "being fusty" (fussy). He gets such a kick out of the twins "filing at him" (smiling at him). And he's such a big helper when he notices if one of the babies has "sphit up" (spit up) or has little bubbles escaping - he gets a burp cloth and wipes their mouth for me.

Orrin and Elena: 2 Month Check up

The twins had their two month check up today. They are doing well and growing good. Sir Orrin has taken the lead again. Surprised us!

Elena:
Weight: 11 lbs 3 ounces

Orrin:
Weight: 11 lbs 11 ounces
Height: 24 inches

Elena
-gives small, somewhat reserved smiles.
-gives very sweet little coos
-always has her arms in motion. If the babies are next to each other, she usually ends up smacking her brother in the face!
-often has a hard time going back to sleep at night
-loves to be talked to
-likes to give you a stare down. She will often throw her head back when you are holding her on your shoulder so she can stare at your face

Orrin
-is very generous with his big smiles
-gives very sweet little coos
-likes his arms up by his head
-does really well going right back to sleep at night
-loves to be talked to
-often uses a plug to get to sleep

Mother's Day 2010

Yup, I know Mother's Day was eons ago...but I never got pics up. My first Mother's Day as a mommy of three was a special one. :-) I'm very lucky!

Catch - Up

We're plugging along here! Enjoying the twins sweet smiles and coos! They are growing and changing so quickly. Big brother Trevin loves to give hugs and kisses to baby brother and baby sister. It's very sweet to hear him talk to them in a sing-song voice. Tomorrow the twins have a doctor's apt so we will find out how much they weigh. I love their little arm and leg rolls! These pics are in no specific order - just a bunch from the last few weeks.

Trevin got to go on a trip to Wildlife Safari with the workers and Marla and the kids not too long after the twins were born. He had a blast and still talks about all the animals.
