Date Night

A few Saturdays ago, these two showed up at our house....

so we could go on a date here...

36 weeks 6 days

Yup...still pregnant! Getting very close to the end though. My apt this morning showed both babies with their heads down (Baby B had flipped AGAIN last week) with some progress made toward the "being ready" stage. (I'll spare you the details!) They didn't measure the babies this week, but last week Baby A was 5 lbs 15 ounces and Baby B was 6 lbs 2 ounces. I stopped working this week so it has been really nice to be home and rest (as much as you can with a 2 year old!) and also get some stuff done. On the list today is to get our bags packed. I know, I know...that should have been done a LONG time ago! It has been a sort of reverse psychology thing with me...if they are packed then I will definitely not give birth until April 14th! Hopefully I'm wrong though!

One of the big things on the list has been to get a vehicle that three car seats will fit in. We can finally cross that one off as we got a new-to-us Expedition a week ago. What a relief! It's been kinda weird going from driving my little Corolla to the bigger SUV.

Baby boy's crib bedding. This crib is set up in our room. I figure for the first few months it will be easier if the twins are closer to me. They will get to share a crib for a bit.

Shelving unit that my brother Todd made. (I'm finally getting a pic of it for you, Teresa!) It is modeled after a unit I saw in Pottery Barn Kids, but wasn't willing to spend that much. Todd is really good with woodworking so he was able to make it. I love it!

Twin Acrobatics!

I peeked at work yesterday before I left (haven't been doing that because I'm getting scanned every week at my Dr's office.) Twin B had flipped!! I think patients on the third floor probably heard me scream, I was so excited! I had to have two co-workers come in and scan to be certain. So sometime from Tuesday at my apt and yesterday, our little guy flipped. It's just amazing to me that I wouldn't feel that big of a movement. They are both REALLY active, but I didn't feel one big single movement. Hopefully they will both stay put with their heads down now. I have an apt on Tuesday so we will see!

Circus Time!

The circus was in town last weekend so we took Trevin to see all the animals. (Along with half the world, it seemed like. It was PACKED!) It was a fun afternoon - I think Trevin enjoyed the pink and blue doggies the most.

Twins

Just a quick update...

My ultrasound yesterday showed the babies in the same position: Twin A head down and Twin B head up. I'm still having very serious talks with this little guy in hopes he will flip. :-) Everything looks really good with Twin A measuring 4lbs 13ou and Twin B measuring 5lbs. So they are definitely growing!

Mystery Dinner Party

We had a murder mystery dinner party at our house on Saturday night. Will has always wanted to do one of these and he did an awesome job of putting it all together. The murder was at a wedding set in the Cayman Islands - with the bride as the victim. Everyone was given their character description a few weeks earlier so they had time to get costumes put together. A fun excuse to get together and dress up!

Thanks to everyone for their participation and help with putting it all together. My Mom and Aunt Marilyn came over and helped get things ready. Will did the planning and cooking. And everyone helped with the clean-up. I was given the job of getting the kids showered after we were all done. By the time I got them out, all the tables/chairs had been put back, dishwasher was loaded, food put away, tablecloths in the washing machine. I was thoroughly impressed! People are pretty nice to the pregnant girl! I REALLY appreciate it!
