Birthday Party!

We had a birthday party for Kiera and Trevin on Saturday. They are exactly three weeks apart in age. We had it at a park which proved to be interesting because of the thunder, lightning and downpour of rain! Oh well! It was warm and we definitely won't forget that party! Trevin's birthday isn't for another two weeks and he has already been sung to twice! It must be a big deal to turn two! Memorial Day Weekend

Another weekend of fun in the sun! Trevin's Auntie Teresa flew in on Saturday morning - we got to have her here all the way till tonight! I had a showmanship field day with my 4-H club Saturday am and then the rest of the day was spent at Mom and Dad's doing some yard work for Mom. Trevin was thrilled to be outside ALL day on Saturday. We had a hard time getting him settled down for a nap. It was Papa who had the magical touch!

The graduates: Kirk C and Chelsea S. There was a BBQ at the park on Memorial Day to celebrate. I can't believe that these two are old enough to graduate! I remember packing both of them around when they were little!

Weekend Fun

We had a fun, busy weekend! And it was a hot one! I was on call Friday night so Trevin was with his Papa. Will bought him a swing and they had fun playing with that! Saturday Trevin helped me plant flowers and just enjoyed being outside. Will was paint balling with a bunch of people - we met up with him for dinner at Kreg and Angie's and time at the lake. And Sunday was a very special day, of course!

Trevinisms

Things I've learned from my almost two-year old

• Every 'pane (airplane) is just as thrilling and exciting as the last, even if the last one was seen only 25 seconds earlier


• There will always be laundry, dirty dishes, and a house to pick up. There won't always be a little boy that wants to take my hand and have me "seat" and "pay". (Sit down and play)


• Why ever would you be inside if you can be outside?


• Be thankful for every morning cuddle...they are priceless. (Even if they come at 6:00 am!)

Trevin stories:

The other day on my walk/jog I had my own personal cheerleader in the stroller. When I got to the spot that I usually start jogging, Trevin started rocking back and forth saying, "Wun, Wun". And when I stopped to walk, he encouraged me again to "Wun, Wun!"

Trevin helped me plant flowers yesterday and really enjoyed making the holes and patting the dirt down. This morning, I found him in the game room patting dirt down in one of my houseplants. After removing him from the dirt, I discovered he had "planted" a car in my plant!

Mr. T discovered last week that he can climb all the way to the top of his changing table by himself. I realize luck has been with me because I know of several little ones that were doing this a LONG time ago! When it seemed far too quiet in the house, I found Trevin sitting on the changing table emptying out the wipe container. He spent the rest of the day carrying around wipes and cleaning "messes". My little cleaner!

Every time we have gotten dressed or ready to leave the house this last week, Trevin excitedly asks me "meeting?" Sundays and Wednesdays are wonderful because I get to tell him, "Yes! We're going to meeting!" So sweet that he loves going to meeting! (I wish I could report that his behavior during meeting is perfectly angelic...but not so much!)

Happy Mommy's Day!

Hope all you Mommies had a wonderful day! This Mommy had a special 2nd Mother's Day. Breakfast with Will's Mom, meeting at my Mom and Dad's, lunch with Trevin's Great Grandma Mary, gospel meeting and a relaxing evening.

I'm lucky to be this little cutie's Mama :-)
