2012 Graduations

We went to three different graduations in a week!  Lots of fun, but kinda bittersweet because Mom was missing and I know how much she would have loved seeing her grand kids graduate.

Spring

Mother's Day

Mother's Day and the days leading up to it were really hard.  The first Mother's Day without my Mama.  Seeing all the Mother's Day cards in the stores and wishing desperately that I had a Mom to buy one for.  Hearing the people at work talk about their plans for Mother's Day and wanting to scream at them to slow down...treasure their Moms...be so thankful for everyday that they have with them.  Feeling so sorry for the poor teenager in the floral department at Safeway that made the mistake of asking me if the roses I was buying were for my Mom.  He sure finished things up quickly when I started sobbing in front of him.  :-)  So thankful for my memories.  And so thankful that I got several hours alone to spend at my Mom's grave.

Reno Trip

Dad and I took a trip to Reno with the kids to take Teresa some furniture that Mom wanted her to have.  We were in Dad's Dodge so we were rather cozy!  It was the first time we had seen Teresa and Ron's new house....loved it!
